For Students/Parents
GREAT CLASS NOTES, HANDOUTS NOTES ALONG WITH CLASS PARTICIPATION, ARE THE KEYS TO SUCCESS
There are NO excuses for not getting and completing missed assignments, because they are all on Google Classroom, if you are absent. Extra time may be given depending on the circumstances. I accept assignments during a marking period, for reduced credit, up to five days before the end of each marking period. A missed assignment becomes a zero after that. If the assignment is turned in on time, but incomplete is a 40%, the same rule applies you have till five days before the end of the marking period to complete it for higher credit
Handouts missed because of absence MUST be asked for by the student or parent. Almost all handouts will be scanned and available on Google Classroom. I give occasional Edpuzzles and unannounced three question mini-quizzes on the handouts to ensure that students actually read the handouts.
Learn to be proactive and get the assignments and missed notes from a classmate, Google Classroom, or from the handout file cubes.
Look on Google Classroom for assignments and for due dates.
6TH GRADE NOTICES AND ALERTS
CHECK GOOGLE CLASSROOM
We start the school year off with definitions of the five areas of social studies; economics, civics, sociology, geography and history. Students will learn that all events in history can be judged through those studies.

We start the school year off with definitions of the five areas of social studies; economics, civics, sociology, geography and history. Students will learn that all events in history can be judged through those studies. We will then start the year off with a comprehensive review of the Constitution. The United States of America is defined by its Constitution, if we abuse it, we lose our identity and become diminished in both how we view ourselves and how the world sees us.
